Bestthai Camps That Caters To Beginners With Low Fitness
Hello I am very keen on planning a trip to Thai land to train muay Thai . I am not in the best shape but wish to five everything I have to become better both physically, mentally and spritually. I am a beginner and just want some advice on camps that cater to my level in either chiang mai or phuket. Any and all advice is very helpful. I know it may sound silly but I need to put myself out there to get myself in there. Cheers and thanks for reading.
Tiger probably (thought id never hear myslef saying it , but it seems they are now doing a lot of things right)
good level of english amongst trainers
wont anihilate you too badly
lots of beginners there
you will pick up fitness tremendously by the 2 week mark
Tiger beginner area
Yeah Tiger loool all the beginners go there most Phuket first timers too. Good place to meet people aswell.
The problem with training in Thailand if you have low fitness ( and even if you have good fitness):
the runnning, skipping, push ups etc BEFORE the pad rounds will burn you out.
best to get your fitness up by running alot before going and when you are in Thailand ,find a way to skip the runs.
Patong Boxing gym only lets you run 2k a day ( years ago when I was there)....
yes agreed, it is good to have a base of fitness but the heat and humidity . well unless youre an elite athlete you will always struggle.
pools and pools of sweat round your feet when youre skipping is quite embarrassin I must say but theres not much youcan do if youre a sweaty bugger
its kind of why I dont bother doing any training before I go out to Thailand, except for front squats and drinking chang.
Have to admit my fitness is levels are shockingly low (I have to take a breather while typing this) - I'm an old cunt, give me some slack - and as much as I'm not keen to go to a huge facility, it strikes me that for a fat camp experience, Tiger seems to be the best (almost "only" unless you want to pay silly prices) option. For those with low fitness and time on their hands then a month, at least, at Tiger and then move on to something more MT oriented is probably the best bet - if of course you can't get up to par at home first.
Them switch to Dragon
'except for front squats and drinking chang.......' pffffft, we all miss him dont we
run heaps bro, run and run and run and run, mix in sprints to up your anaerobic capacity or pad rounds will shrink your balls
can do sprints on a concept 2 also- tabatas
+1 for the running and maybe skipping also ( shoulder endurance)
Lun s-keep lowp jum tiya
do burpees in the sauna, rehydrate with vodka
And inhale farts in between
running and burpees. You won't build killer cardio overnight, but take the time for it and you'll thank yourself later.
Actually any farang oriented gym Deals with low fitness Levels
Also with poor mechanics and sweat stains
There is a place for fat camps in phuket, as long as you got the baht
No Food for 3 days but some disgusting tea followed by colon cleaning
