Fighting In Thailand
taking a fight in Thailand ? Phuket / patong in particular ? what r ur experiences ? good idea bad idea ? why ? ive been kick boxing for 3 years boxing for a lot longer then that and I would love to take a fight when I'm their next year at sinbi/rawaii .
possibly against a real boxer, or ex-boxer-padholder.
stand your ground till the bell of the 5th. win or loose, mai pen rai.
more honour loosing a decision against a boxer then knocking out
a taxi driver.
Plenty of bum fights on the islands. Get photos before and after, smash up a tuk tuk driver, then post them all over Facebook and tell your mates you're the Moo Tie champion.
LOL or try beating a tuk tuk driver - gas out-give up
then start a year long rant against bad pad holders and gym owners
3 years kickboxing plus a solid boxing background?
Train hard there until you get used to climate and get fit (if you arenīt now) and fight.
You could smash 80% of "fighters" in Phuket. Mostly short term beginers thrown to the lions and overweight tuk tuk drivers, or ex fighters with a drinking problem.
Other 20% are probably your aim.
Do it mate...I heard this guy fought for a title only after just one fight..the bloke had one fight koed the Thai opponent..then the promoter offered him a title shot..he fought the champ and won..he only had limited fighting experience too..he was recommended by a expat to go to this rural village near bangkok where this retired trainer lived for his training..he managed to convince him to train him and got some incredible one to one training, this farang literally eat sleep lived with his trainer until the fights..his trainer got a hot daughter hot too..be careful for bar fights though. As I heard theirs a bar in the village which hates farang..
I think the reason he was offered a title shot in his 2nd fight was because of his trainers massive rep..they trained completely old school..plus the farang and the Thai champ had some beef which the promoters could use as a angle..think the beef was something to do with farangs brother not entirely sure..however if you can find the village then I definitely recommend you to do your fight training there
im 5.9 I fight at 70-72kg , I'm keen to take one . reading this I'm thinking 100% ill start fight prep here jan 1 I'm arriving their end of march will be their for 3 months .. sinbi and sitsonpeenong !
@funnyman No man, you got it wrong. His brother fought the champ first, got injured so badly he had to retire. Thats why started fighting, so he could get revenge.
dont fuck with their jukebox though
