Honour Muay Thai
Anyone know anything about this camp.... is it an old camp that has been taken over...?
Unfortunately I know next to nothing about camps in Pattaya...
On the face of it the website looks good, geared to fighters, etc..... but then 20000bht/month for training/food/water/room would likely put it out of the range of most budget conscious fighters... (although I'd still consider it a reasonable cost)
Gods but the names just keep getting better...
What was your gyms name agaiin Tenchu? Btw welcome back!
unless I am missing something I would like to see some profile of the trainers and current Thai fighters if any at the gym, prices for one time training seem high to me so maybe this is not really wanted which is not bad I guess
and some more info on accommodation would be nice...website seems filled with generic info in my opinion but good luck with everything
I am not the sharpest tool in the box when it comes to computers mate.
I shall try and get some pictures added to website soon. I'm trying to multitask at the moment which isn't good! ;)
The idea of the gym is for people to train hard buddy and fight. There is 4 Stadiums here in Pattaya, that pay a good purses if it's what you love doing.
Thank you for the feed back.
If you have any more questions you can contact me on: firstname.lastname@example.org
All the best
No worries Howard...monotasking is the way of the future :-)
Good luck with everything and cheers for the reply
Looks good, the fighters look sharp also.
Are you the owner of the gym or you just helping run it?
I might come here next year as I want to check out Sor Klinmee.
the rooms look a bit creepy though
Hi Finn, I am Managing the gym. You obliviously have not had luxury of sleeping on the floor of a Thai Gym then?!;) The rooms are basic yes, but they are clean and comfortable! There's other options of staying outside, but then you won't get the full experience being a fighter and more likely to skip training...
The idea of the gym is to promote group training and not private lessons. I feel that if you don't learn enough from the group sessions there is something wrong! I think that you have earn your respect from your Ajarn/Teacher and you shouldn't have to pay for this, it will come from Training Regular and learning his style of fighting. A Thai trainer won't teach you somebody else's style just their own. This my opinion only, but I see that Thai boxing is sacrificing structure for gain of money! There's plenty of places you can stay in 5 star hotel and have 1-1 with trainer...
Anyway that's what we're all about, and sorry for running on!
Haha I'm not complaining about the rooms they serve there purpose. Good luck anyway sounds good what you're doing. I think pattaya gyms are often looked down upon even though I personally think they offer some of the best training, and most of them have bangkok fighters.
And threppasit stadium usually put on good fights actually.
Nice one! Yeah, I think Pattaya has given a bad name for other reasons...! The potential here for fighters is good with 4 x Stadiums and potential to earn whilst fighting too. Plenty of stuff to do in the area too, and beach is bout 3 km away to enjoy when you have free time.
I watch the fights every Monday, good atmosphere and fights. Mainly Thais' watching.
If you come to Pattaya, make sure you stick your head in and say hello.
All the best
