What Kind Of Travel Insurance
i was wondering what kind of travel you guys recommend? it would be nice to be covered for a training injury. Flight and accommodations booked! now I just have to wait till the end of august to leave!
I have no doubt that most people don't bother with travel insurance... or maybe just have basic travel insurance which covers flights, etc..
I use a company called 'Dogtag' (easy to find on google)..... they have different levels to cover different sports... I think muay Thai comes under the middle level, whereas something like skydiving would be the highest level... as a guide, a month's cover in Thailand coms out about £100-130, a 6 month trip about £300 last time I looked...
They may be just a UK company though, but no doubt wherever you are there is something similar if you want/need it...
my normal travel insurance covers it. As long as I don't sky, climb, skydive, or motorcross.
If you're just training rather than planning to fight, it should be cheaper.
your normla travel insurrance should cover it if you don't stay longer then 3 months
When I get an injury I usually say I fell during running to avoid problems with the insurancecompany ;-)
What about STDs ?
fair enough, looks like ill go with the travel insurance offered by priceline thats where I booked my flight from, yeah I'm still undecided but I might try to have a fight arranged by the gym I'm going to
normally you dont need a travel insurrance, it is already in your basic health insurance and covers your first 3 months abroad, if you stay longer you need one.
at least that is all insurance I know
